I love making this recipe under a real campfire (perfect for the end of summer), but it can be made just as easily in an oven. If you're pressed for time, it tastes just as good uncooked!
Ingredients:
- 1 ripe banana
- 2 tsp peanut butter
- 2 tsp chocolate chips
- 2 tsp white chocolate chips
- 1 small handful of pecans (optional)
Directions:
- If using the oven, preheat the oven to 350°F. If using a campfire, start the fire.
- Leaving the peel on, slice the banana 3/4 down the center, long ways.
- Spread the peanut butter on both insides of the banana
- Sprinkle in the chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and pecans.
- Wrap the banana in tinfoil.
- If using the oven place the banana on a cookie sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes. If using a campfire, use tongs to place the banana on the hot embers. Use tongs to remove after 12-15 minutes or until the tinfoil is beginning to become blackened.
- Eat immediately with a fork or spoon.
- Enjoy!
While this is definitely a decadent dessert, it is the perfect summer treat! Plus I'm pretty sure the banana means it's healthy. I hope you guys all enjoy this camping staple as much a I did! As always share pics on insta or comments below, I'd love to see/read them.
XOXO,
Samantha
