- Tortilla Chips and Homemade Salsa (possibly the best salsa on the face of the Earth)
- Pita Chips and Guacamole
- Hot Dogs
- Hamburgers
- Grilled Corn (I like to add salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes, and then wrap the corn in tinfoil and grill for 20-30 minutes)
- Grilled Peppers
- Ice Cream + Toppings for Sundaes (chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, m&ms, whipped cream, etc)
- Grilled Pineapple + Bananas (for those with a little less of a sweet tooth (not that I can relate), these are the perfect outdoor desserts)
- Drinks
I know that this seems like a pretty basic menu, but when you're pressed for time, it can be intimidating to come up with something. Some bonus tips to remember:
- Plastic Plates + Silverwear - It will help keep things from breaking and will help with clean up.
- Extra Napkins - However many napkins you think is enough, get more.
- Have Extra Sides - There are always going to be picky eaters (trust me, I'm one of them), so having extra sides is a must.
- Make Sidewalk Sundaes - These are from a book (I can't rememebr the name for the life of me), but basically make gigantic sundaes outside and then hose off to clean up the sticky mess.
These are some ideas and tips for helping you guys plan the perfect 4th of July Menu! Let me know if you guys have any other delicious ideas, I'd love to hear them!
XOXO,
Samantha
