- Get Some Sleep - I'm not saying don't go out on the weekends, but I am saying that a huge part of the reason you feel sluggish in the morning is when you don't get enough sleep. Make sure that even on the weekends you're still getting all your zzzzzzzs.
- Keep A Routine - Kind of similar to the last tip, but if you keep changing your routine/schedule your body might go a little whack. Trying to keep a similar bedtime and wake up time on the weekends as you do during the week is a great way to keep from feeling lazy and blah throughout the day.
- Get Out Of Bed Before Checking Your Phone - We've all fallen down the hole of checking insta or snapchat while still lying in bed... and then an hour later you're still lying there and literally have not moved an inch. I make it a rule to not check my phone while lying in bed - this gets me out of bed quickly and helps me get on with my day.
- Workout ASAP - I know I've written about this before, but working out first thing in the morning is one of my favorite things in the world. It gets me energized and at least if I lounge around the whole rest of the day I will have done something active.
- Get Dressed - I love hanging out in my pajamas as much as the next person, but I feel that I am much more productive if I get dressed. Also, if I'm already dressed, going out doesn't seem like such a chore and I'm much more likely to actually go out and get errands done.
- Eat Breakfast - I don't understand how people don't eat breakfast in the morning. Don't you starve? If I eat a filling breakfast, I am definitely able to get more done and I have a ton more energy throughout the day.
So, these are my tips for making your weekend mornings more productive! I love waking up bright and early on the weekends and just getting s*** done. Comment any other tips down below, I'm sure we'd all love to read them!
XOXO,
Samantha
