Let's get real here, it seems like brands release new product lines every other day. And it can be incredibly overwhelming. I've been watching a ton of PR unboxing hauls on Youtube and all this got me thinking about the OG products that used to hyped up on Youtube. You guys remember, those products that EVERYONE seems to have, be talking about, or wanted. Today, I wanted to revisit a few of these products and see if they're still relevant/share my thoughts on them! Just one important note, when some of these products were crazy popular I was, like, 10. So some of my thoughts are on the products now, not when they first came out.
The first product that comes to mind is the Urban Decay Naked Palette. I remember begging for this palette because it seemed like the only product people were using in their tutorials. I actually still love this palette, I think it has a great range of neutral shades and can be used to create a ton of different looks.
The Sigma Brush Sets were another staple every beauty guru seemed to have. I actually never ended up purchasing them because they seemed overly expensive and annoying to order. But these are still on my wish list, so hopefully I'll end up getting my act together and placing an order.
Does anyone else remember lugging around like 7 MAC Paintpots just to create one makeup look? They were great, don't get me wrong, just kind of bulky and not travel friendly. The colors Soft Ochre and Painterly were definitely fan favorites.
In addition to the paintpots, everyone needed the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk. I actually still use this occasionally because it's a great eyeshadow base. And it was inexpensive, so thats awesome!
Speaking of cheap products, the NYC Sunny Bronzer was everywhere. This can still be found at a drugstore for about $3, so if you're looking for an inexpensive version definitely check this out!
Another face product that everyone seemed to love was The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer. I never purchased this because ordering things online was always such a struggle. But I do remember thinking that thebalm.com was the greatest name for a website ever.
The final face products on today's list are the Benefit Boxed Blushes, specifically the Hoola Bronzer and the Dandelion Blush. OMG, I was obsessed with these. The packaging was adorable and I actually still reach for them a lot!
