Hi guys!
Happy Tuesday. A few weeks back, I posted a haul sharing the beauty products I have recently purchased. Today, I wanted to update you on my thoughts on those products. Click here to see the haul and keep reading below to hear my thoughts on the products!
The Drunk Elephant Volume 1: Hot Date Holiday Set was my splurge of the shopping trip. I purchased this set because I wanted to try the TLC Framboise Serum. I have been using the serum for a few weeks now and have to say that I like it. I think the serum combined with a few other products has really cleared up my skin. Once I think my skin is the best it can be, I will be posting a skincare routine to share the new, incredible products I have found! The other components to this holiday set are the LaLa Retro Whipped Cream, the oil and the cleanser. Since I want my skin to clear up, I have not been using the oil, but I do love it for my neck. The oil is expensive, though, and I think you can just use vitamin E oil for the same effect. The Lala Retro Whipped Cream is an incredible moisturizer. I really love how hydrated it makes my skin feel. I will be including this in my skincare routine! The last product, the cleaner, is something I have not even tried (sorry!!). Since it is so small, I want to save it for traveling. I'll keep you updated. Overall, I really like this kit and was pleasantly surprised by the Drunk Elephant line!
Philosophy Pore Extractor Mask is one of the products I was most excited about. And I do really enjoy it. The mask clears out my pores so well, and my face feels very clean after every use. I use the mask 2-3 times a week and believe that is has helped my skin clear up. Highly recommend.
The Dr. Brant Oxygen Facial Flash Mask is something I am undecided on. I do like the mask, and the way it makes my skin look, but it is extremely expensive. I purchased the mask from TJ Maxx for $20 instead of the regular $79. The mask is most definitely not worth $79, but it is possibly worth $20. If bubble masks are your thing, and you find it on sale, I would recommend picking it up. Otherwise, its a pass for me; not a bad product, just wayyyy too expensive!
The Bliss Mask-A-Peel Radiance Mask is the mask I was super excited about. For years, Samantha has been talking about how cool it was, so when I found it at TJ Maxx, I had to pick it up. Now for the upsetting part... As cool as it looks and sounds, it is a PAIN to apply and keep on your face. I had the hardest time getting the mask to stop dripping all over everything. When the mask dried, it was all lumpy and weird looking. At least peeling the product off was not difficult, but I didn't think it did anything special to my face. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by this mask:(
I won't be speaking about the Clinique Moisture Surge Intense Moisturizer for long because I love it. I have been through countless jars of this stuff and will forever repurchase it! It soothes my dry areas and does not overwhelm my oily areas at the same time. I love this moisturizer.
I have hear the Garner Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream for Dry Skin is a dupe for the Clinique moisturizer mentioned above. I am in the process of testing this out, so I do not have thoughts on the product yet. A post comparing the two moisturizers will be up soon!
The last product is the Briogeo Scalp Revival Exfoliating Shampoo. Like the Garnier product, I am not actually sure what I think about this yet. I think I like it, but then sometimes when I use it, I don't notice it does anything special. I have to find the correct way to use this product before I give you guys the thumbs up. I will also be posting a comparison post with another exfoliating shampoo soon. So make sure you guys are subscribed to get notifications when that post goes live!!!
So those were my thoughts on the products I purchased a few weeks ago. Hopefully this post was helpful in one way or another:)
Let me know what other products you would like me to purchase so I can test them out for you guys!
Thank you so much for reading and have an incredible week.
XOXO,
Jordan
