Ingredients:
- 2 Granny Smith Apples
- Milk Chocolate Melting Disks
- White Chocolate Melting Disks
- 1 Bag Caramel Squares (I used Kraft)
- Assorted, Chopped, Halloween Candy and Nuts
- Small wooden skewers or lollipop sticks
Directions:
- Line a baking sheet with wax paper and set aside.
- In a saucepan, heat the caramel squares over medium low-heat until they are melted.
- Cut the apples into wedges and pat dry to remove extra liquid.
- Insert a skewer into the bottom of each apple wedge.
- Dip each apple wedge into the melted caramel and lay on the baking sheet.
- Drizzle milk chocolate and white chocolate over each apple wedge.
- Sprinkle each apple wedge with various types of candy or nuts.
- Personal Favorites: mini M&Ms or chopped snickers
- Serve immediately or store in the fridge until ready to serve.
- Enjoy!
My favorite thing about this recipe (other than how easy it is), is how customizable it is! Looking for something a little more festive, use orange or green candy melts! Hate white chocolate? Use dark chocolate! Allergic to nuts? Try chopped marshmallows and crushed graham crackers.
As always, share pics of your creations with us for a chance to be featured! Also let me know in the comments some of your favorite Caramel Apple combos - I'd love some more inspiration!
